  • About the Sanchez Development Taskforce

    Taskforce Mission

The Sanchez Development Taskforce has been formed to fund and obtain independent studies and legal advice to protect current and future residents with regard to the planned development.

    Taskforce Goals

The first goal is to obtain an independent hydrological study and report to make sure that the Developer's design team doesn't miss any important issues. This report and subsequent presentation to the Public Regulation Committee and City Council requires significant funding; therefore the Taskforce will also be soliciting donations to fund the study which is estimated to cost about $3600.

As of June, we have raised almost enough money to cover the cost of the study, and are supplimenting the balance from SeNA's general fund. It's not too late to send in donations!

6/22/05 - SeNA has retained Truchas Hydrologic Associates, Inc. to review the Development Application with respect to hydrological issues and concerns and prepare a summary report to present to the Planning Commission and/or Council. They have completed a preliminary study of the current conditions, and now that the Application has been submitted, they will review the impact of the design and prepare the summary report.

    How you can help

Send money! Make your donation payable to

      Southeast Neighborhood Association (SeNA)
POB 1446, Santa Fe, NM 87504

...and note that it is for the "Sanchez Taskforce" in the memo section of your check. We are researching our tax exempt status, but at this time you should NOT consider these donations tax-deductable. If and when we find out otherwise, we will send notification to all donors.

How you can contact the Taskforce

The Taskforce will be chaired by Betsy Millard. If you have questions or want to get involved personally, you can call her at 989-4033 or email her (after you have registered).
